Feeling like life is “fine” but also kind of… off? If your home or work relationships feel tense, draining, or confusing, it might be time for a quick reset.
Quick Reset (in 10 minutes)
"This January, I took a hard look at 2025. Instead of just pushing forward, I stopped to evaluate what I was doing, why I was doing it, and whether it was actually working."
Grab a notebook (or open Notes). Answer these fast—no overthinking.
5 Diagnostic Questions (Home + Work Relationships)
1) What’s working right now?
- Who do you communicate well with?
- What routines or agreements are actually helping?
2) What’s draining me—and why am I still doing it?
- Which interactions leave you exhausted?
- Are you avoiding conflict, seeking approval, or “keeping the peace”?
3) What’s unclear or unsaid?
- What expectations feel fuzzy?
- What conversation keeps looping in your head?
4) What do I genuinely need (not just want)?
Pick one:
- more help
- more space
- clearer roles
- more respect
- more rest
5) Are my relationships supporting my well-being?
- Who leaves you feeling steady vs. on edge?
- Where do you need a boundary (time, tone, tasks, access)?
Do This Next (Keep It Simple)
- Circle one question that hit hardest.
- Write one small action for this week:
- “Ask for a specific change.”
- “Set a limit (and repeat it calmly).”
- “Schedule a check-in.”
- “Stop doing the thing that’s quietly breeding resentment.”
- If it involves another person, use this script:
“I’ve noticed ____. I need ____. Can we try ____?”
That’s it. Small shifts beat big promises—especially when you’re already juggling a lot.
